SELF servis, spol. s.r.o., has been established early in 1991 with 100% domestic capital participation. From the beginning SELF servis is being profiled as a high performance company in the field of electronic communications, specializing in the construction, operation and development of television cable and optical networks. Engineering services - consulting, design, construction of networks, site works and delivery technologies for the time used not only by domestic but also foreign firms in the form of contracts, whatever its scale.

Under the influence of rapid development of information technologies and on the basis of long practical experience of field engineering SELF servis has been gradually expanding the company's activities. Existing local TV distribution has been gradually transformed into a multi-network with a wide range of broadband services, interconnected by backbone network CzechBone.

SELF servis backbone network, presented under the brand CzechBone, crosses a large part of the Czech Republic and is then integrated into the European infrastructure. This backbone network extending 2200 km provides a full range of services to other telecommunications companies or Internet providers (ISP). Thanks to the redundancy of major routes CzechBone provides very high reliability, availability and SLA level. Further, there are located housing centers on this network and IPTV streams are being provided as well. The smooth operation of all services is constantly monitored via own network operating centre. Length of tubes owned by SELF servis, is currently about 2500 km. These tubes contain fibre cables with a length of over 1000 km (profile from 12 to144 fibres), the total length exceeds 55,000 km.
